Once a year chance to see Britain's rarest buttercup

Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust are hosting an open day this Sunday (June 11) at their Badgeworth reserve near Cheltenham.

The reserve is closed 364 days a year but opens up one Sunday in June to give the public an insight into this species - the rare adder's-tongue spearwort (more commonly known as the Badgeworth Buttercup!).

There will be free tea and cake, pond dipping, a meadow safari walk and plenty of experts on hand to talk to about all things wildlife.

Running from 2pm-5pm, it promises to be a fun and insightful day out for any nature enthusiast. Come along on Sunday or prepare to wait another year for your chance!
