Hidcote to host International Garden Photographer of the Year exhibition

International Garden Photographer of the Year (IGPOTY), one of the world's most respected photography competitions, will be taking its touring exhibition to Hidcote, Gloucestershire, for the first time this September.

The exhibition will be running at the National Trust garden near Chipping Campden from Friday, September 8th, to Sunday, November 5th.

Comprising 28 artwork sides displayed on 14 panels, the outdoor exhibition features a stunning selection of higher-placed images from across the world, in categories such as 'The Beauty of Plants', 'Beautiful Gardens', 'Breathing Spaces', and 'Wildlife in the Garden'.

A selection of winning photographs from the 'Highlights of Hidcote' Special Award will also be on display, judged by IGPOTY and the National Trust.

2023 marks 75 years of the National Trust caring for the gardens at Hidcote, with the IGPOTY exhibition and its 'Highlights of Hidcote' competition a fitting celebration of the gardens as a place of inspiration, creativity and solace.

Chris Charman, general manager of Hidcote, said: "We are excited to be hosting the IGPOTY Exhibition here at Hidcote during our 75th year.

"It is fitting that a garden which has inspired so many will be showcasing such an inspirational collection of images this autumn, including the special category 'Highlights of Hidcote' which includes some stunning images.'

The IGPOTY exhibition is free to enter, but standard entry to Hidcote or National Trust membership applies.
