Great line-up at food and drink festival

Cheltenham Food & Drink Festival returns to Montpellier Gardens in June.

The three-day festival from Friday, June 24, to Sunday, June 26 will feature a great line-up of local producers, winemakers, brewers, and your favourite chefs.

There will be exciting masterclasses and live cooking demos in The Lansdown Kitchen theatre, all waiting to be explored by you.

There's a chance to meet celebrity chef John Torode and get up close and personal with him and learn new tips and tricks on how to become a master chef.

Also in the Chefs Kitchen this year are plant-based and free-from specialist Bettina Bordi and Alice Robertson who will be demonstrating spicy chickpea burgers with harrisa yogurt and quick summer pickle.

Mark Woodgate of Mark's Cotswold Bakerywill be bringing his multi award-winning, handmade sourdough knowledge to the table, while head chef Mathieu Blanchard will be showcasing his culinary skills and teaching us the importance of environmentally conscious cooking.

Alongside these amazing chefs will be a series of brilliant classes, including everything you ever wanted to know about rum, and a whiskey masterclass delivered by Cotswold Distillery.

The Cheltenham Food & Drink Festival is a popular annual event for Cheltenham, both with visitors and locals. Past festivals have been a gastronomic delight with over 200 exhibitors from both the local area and surrounding regions.

The festival has always provided an astonishing variety of tasty goodies from oatcakes to aphrodisiac quince, the widest range of baked goods, meats, fish, cheeses, jams, chutneys and much more. This is the regional food event not to be missed.

Visitors can expect a fresh selection of food from Thai to Indian and Moroccan through to the classic British fish and chips along with the traditional taste of real ale from many breweries.

The cooking demonstrations are always popular with local chefs and guest celebrity chefs, as are the International Wine Tasting classes and the Food & Drink Talks covering many subjects in a relaxed, fun interactive environment with some of the most well-known and respected experts in the UK. Subjects covered include real ale, wine and nutrition.

What's more, on the Sunday there will be a fun dog show.
