Fine food for a fine cause

A charity lunch club which meets once a month for fine dining at venues in and around Cheltenham is for everyone..

The LINC Lunch Club meets on the first Friday of every month in quality eateries.

Louise Adkins, the Leukaemia & Intensive Chemotherapy Fund (LINC) Gloucester office co-ordinator, said: "Our current supporters include local businessmen and women along with couples and groups of ladies who have been brought together through cancer or have an association with LINC.

"Some of our diners have either been a patient themselves, have a partner who was patient, are a volunteer or a fundraiser for the charity. All of whom have a passion to support LINC.

"It's an ideal time to catch up with friends for some quality time or come along to make new ones. And whilst you are enjoying a delicious meal you are also raising money to help local cancer patients and their families. We are very grateful for the support of our local restaurants and pubs."

The Lunch Club resumed last August and enjoyed meals at The Gloucester Old Spot, Primavera, Wesley House and The Fleet. This year started at the New Club in Cheltenham and last Friday the group met at the King's Arms in Prestbury.

Upcoming lunches are on Thursday 3 March at GL50, Cheltenham, and on Friday 1 April at The Gardeners Arms, Alderton.
