Festive Winter Weekend at the Museum in the Park

A free Festive Winter Weekend is being planned at Stroud's Museum in the Park on December 2 and 3.

A whole host of Victorian-inspired activities are being lined up to enjoy with family and friends of all ages.

And visitors are being encouraged to dress up as a Victorian if they so wish to receive a complimentary hot drink or gift!

Among the fun activities on offer are:

  • Drop-in crafts, decoration & gift making (11am - 4pm Saturday & Sunday)
  • Parlour games (11am - 1pm Saturday & Sunday)
  • Quiz trails (11am - 4pm Saturday & Sunday)
  • Tea duelling (2.30pm Saturday & Sunday)
  • Carol singing (4pm Saturday)
  • Storytelling (2pm & 3pm Sunday)
  • Dramatic Reading: 'A Christmas Carol' by Charles Dickens (4pm Sunday) (for adults and ages 8+)

Hot drinks and cakes will be for sale and 10% off in the Museum shop

Following the weekend, the Museum in the Park will be closed for cleaning, essential maintenance and installation of a new air source heating system from Monday, December 4. It will reopen on Saturday, January 27, for the special Snowdrop Weekend.
