Come and visit The Repair Hub!

The Repair Hub is opening in Gloucester from today (Wednesday) until Sunday, October 1st.

The hub will provide advice, a chance to try out repairs, freebies, inspiration and signposting to further local information.

Come along to ask repair queries and find out how and where you can get repairs in the county.

The hub will be open from 10am-6pm at Kings Walk Shopping Centre, opposite WHSmith.

Visit the repair hub for free sewing kits! Simple sewing repairs are something we often avoid doing, but clothing has a huge carbon footprint and stitching up clothes can help them to last longer and reduce their environmental impact.

Kelly from the Gloucestershire Recycles team tried out some simple clothes repairs. She said: "I was never very good at sewing at school, I just don't have the patience, but I have started sewing up small tears in socks and dresses recently.

"I have been surprised how easy invisible repairs are and the repair cafes have helped me fix some larger tears!"

You can pick up a free sewing kit at the repair hub this week and get stitching.

11,000 bikes a year are wasted in the UK. On Friday 29 September The Repair Hub will be focussing on bikes.

If you need advice on quick bike fixes, pop in and see the team.
