Children's classic at the 'Cathedral of the Forest'

A classic children's tale is being brought to life at an open-air performance at the "Cathedral of the Forest" this summer.

This Is My Theatre are due to bring their socially-distanced production of The Secret Garden to All Saints Church, Newland, on Sunday, August 15 at 3pm.

Folk music weaves through this stage adaptation of Frances Hodgson Burnett's classic children's tale the whole family will love.

Ethan Taylor, This is My Theatre's associate artistic director, said: "We are very excited to be one of the first theatre companies dusting ourselves off and getting back on the road and we are sure that our fun-filled show - packed with action, puppetry and live music - will bring some much needed joy this summer.

"The production will be all that This Is My Theatre audiences have come to love about our shows and we are excited to be re-engaging communities with the arts after these past few months of lockdown."

This is an open-air performance so please bring chairs/blankets and picnics to enjoy whilst watching

Ice-creams will be available on arrival. Toilets provided. The performance will be held within the church if it is wet. Parking in Almshouse Road.
