Ale Amble in aid of Longfield Community Hospice

Fresh air, beer and rugby could make for the perfect day out while raising money for a great cause.

Longfield Community Hospice, based in Minchinhampton, near Stroud, is organising an Ale Amble on Saturday, February 26, starting at 11am and and finishing at Stroud Brewery.

Jo Fairburn, the hospice's media and communications officer, said: "The Ale Amble will take you on a fantastic four-mile circular walk through beautiful Gloucestershire countryside. You'll arrive back to a hero's welcome at the Brewery with a free pint or soft drink and the chance to catch a Six Nations rugby match on the big screen."

There's a £15 adult/£10 child fee or you can raise sponsorship. To sign up visit www.longfield.org.uk/event/ale-amble/

To really feel the part on the day, you'll also get sent a Longfield t-shirt for you to wear with pride as you join the Ale Amble.

Longfield Community Hospice provides free care, 365 days a year, for adults with life-limiting conditions and support for their families and carers.
