Virtuoso Chinese percussionist to make Cheltenham debut

The University of Gloucestershire and Cheltenham Borough Council present an outstanding cross-cultural musical event, featuring the multi-award-winning Beibei Wang at Montpellier Gardens, Cheltenham, tomorrow (Saturday, August 25).
Xposed Club at the University of Gloucestershire will support the acclaimed virtuoso Chinese multi-percussionist Beibei Wang, as her new trio take to the stage for their debut performance in Cheltenham.
The trio includes traditional Chinese instruments, with her father Hua Wang on erhu, and Mike Skelton on san xian.
For this event Beibei Wang is joined by local electronic duo Brown Torpedo and the Madrona Drone Choir, who are inviting the public to join in their performance.
Founded in 2007, Xposed Club has become a platform for international, national and locally recognised musicians, with an emphasis on creativity, improvisation and contemporary arts.
This event is supported by University of Gloucestershire media lecturer Stuart Wilding, as well as The Wilson Art Gallery & Museum and The Cheltenham Trust.
Admission to the event is free and starts from 3pm at The Bandstand, Montpellier Gardens, Cheltenham, GL50 1UL.
