Top class classical music to enjoy at Chapel Arts

Chapel Arts in Cheltenham have confirmed three new classical music events taking place in May and June.

On Sunday, May 30, at 3pm the Knapp Road venue hosts '51 Strings': Cello and Harp Duo and are delighted to welcome back City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra musicians David Powell (Sub-Principal Cello) and Katherine Thomas (Principal Harp). They will perform a wonderful concert of music, including works by Vaughan Williams, Granados, Elgar, J. S. Bach, Chopin, Weber & Fauré.

On Friday, June 18, at 7pm BBC Young Musician 2018 Piano Finalist Adam Heron returns to Chapel Arts for a much-anticipated solo recital. The programme will include Schumann's Kinderszenen (Scenes from Childhood) & Geistervariationen (Ghost Variations) and J. S. Bach's English Suite no. 6 in D minor.

On Wednesday, June 23, at 7pm Chapel Arts welcomes back the brilliant pianist Ashok Gupta, who will be performing with extraordinary violinist Malu Lin. Featuring works by Beethoven, Mozart, Giles Swayne (and more), this isn't an event to be missed.
