The Wurzels at Cotswolds Harvest Cider Festival
By David Wood | 13th September 2021
The Wurzels are to play at the Cotswold Harvest Cider Festival at Cirencester's Bingham Hall on Friday, September 24.
The Wurzels, as always, will bring their celebration of all things Scrumpy & Western - a genre packed full of double entendre, mainstream parody and a comical folk style. The perfect accompaniment to cider drinking and the bars will be fuller than full with your favourite brands!
Signed to label heavyweights Columbia and EMI, The Wurzels continue to play hundreds of sell-out shows and festivals every year and insist on returning to Gloucestershire.
Their quintessentially West Country cover of Kaiser Chiefs' 'Ruby' has been a massive show favourite of late, as well as their hip hop version of the ubiquitous hit 'Combine Harvester'.
Support is provided by public demand - Corky, an agricultural hip-hop artist and the world's greatest Scrumpy & Western rapper straight out of the farm gates of the Dauntsey Vale in north Wiltshire.
His 'Ginster's Paradise' hit went viral on Facebook and is fast becoming the unofficial 21st century national anthem of Gloucestershire & the West Country
.This annual festival just builds and builds and promises to be another sell-out success. Doors open at 7.30pm and the festival starts at 8pm.
Tickets are priced from just £17.00 + booking fee and are on sale now, available from https://www.seetickets.com/event/the-wurzels-the-cotswolds-spring-cider-festival/bingham-hall/1603836
