Spoil Mum this Mother's Day by making her something special in our craft workshop. Bring your friends, dress up like a Roman and play Roman games.

Hidcote

IGPOTY Highlights of Hidcote competition

Daily to Friday 30 June

This free-to-enter special award 'Highlights of Hidcote' is open to everyone (adults only) and is the first IGPOTY run photo competition to be dedicated to images captured at National Trust Hidcote; a world famous Arts and Crafts-inspired garden with intricately designed outdoor spaces in the rolling Cotswold hills. We would love to see photos that capture Johnston's passion for plants and design, whether in the gardens, or set against architecture of the buildings or wider landscape.

Colour with Kaffe

Daily to Sunday 26 March, 11am-4pm

Colour with Kaffe follows Kaffe Fassett's love of colour expressed through his textile work. The shop at Hidcote will have a selection of textiles and Kaffe products for you to enjoy, including books, crafting kits and much more. The exhibition will be in the Entrance Hall of the Manor House, open when the gardens at Hidcote are open, please see opening times on the website.

Sensory nature session

Friday 17 March, 3.30pm-5.30pm

Forest bathing, or Shinrin-yoku, is a way of relaxing and slowing down the mind by being immersed among the trees and nature. Join us in the gardens at Hidcote for a series of, or stand-alone, exclusive sessions in forest bathing. Join our nature therapy guide who will take you through learning to focus on the details of nature using all your senses. Designed to be inclusive and autism-friendly, these sessions give you the chance to experience the sounds and feel of nature.

Tai Chi in the garden

Join Swan School of Tai Chi & Chi Gung at Hidcote, for a unique perspective of the gardens with the ancient Chinese practice of Tai Chi.

World Poetry Month at Newark Park

Wednesday 1 March - Friday 31 March, 11am-4pm

We're celebrating World Poetry Day all month in the second hand bookshop.

Join in with the celebrations by writing your own poetry, learning about haikus, and browsing the selection of poetry books for sale.

World Book Day storytelling

Thursday 2 March - Sunday 5 March, 11:30am - 11:45am, 12:30pm - 12:45pm, 13:30pm - 13:45pm

Dress as your favourite book character and join us to celebrate World Book Day with storytelling in the house or pick up a pre-loved book from the second hand bookshop.

Two-day Stone Carving and Wood Carving Workshops

Saturday 20 & Sunday 21 May, 10am-4pm

On this two-day, hands-on course you will use traditional skills to carve a relief in lime wood or a stone sculpture. No previous experience necessary and you will be able to work at your own pace. Stage by stage instructions and demonstrations will guide you through every element of the process towards a high quality finished carving. All tools, materials and equipment are provided

Easter Egg Hunts with the National Trust

From Saturday 1 April

Join us for our Easter adventures in nature trails at many of the places we care for across Gloucestershire this spring. There'll be lots of fun for you and your family on your trail as you do your nature-inspired activities. Complete the trail and collect your Rainforest Alliance chocolate egg.

Price: £3 per trail (normal admission prices apply). No booking necessary.
