Royal Three Counties Show celebrates 100 years of food, farming and family fun

The Royal Three Counties Show will return to Malvern's Three Counties Showground from 17 - 19 June for a long weekend of fantastic food, farming and family fun.

This year marks 100 years of the Royal Three Counties Show and to celebrate organisers have curated over 150 activities and events running across the weekend.

The tantalising new open-air Food & Drink Festival will showcase the very best artisan produce from across Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and beyond.

Join local chefs and special guests in the Food & Drink Theatre for live cookery displays and tastings, hosted by award-winning writer, photographer and owner of Otter Farm (the UK's only climate change farm), Mark Diacono. Sample some of the finest cider and perry from within the three counties, and meet the talented makers to learn about their craft, at the Three Counties Cider & Perry Festival.

A visit to the show wouldn't be complete without experiencing the Farming Village, where visitors will find over 120 breeds of animals across 25 judging rings, including 54 rare and minority breeds (boasting the largest gathering of rare breed livestock in the country). The chance to get up close to the animals and the enthralling sheep shearing demonstrations and competitions are a real highlight of the weekend.

The Fur, Feather and Farm area is a must-visit, especially for families and children. Meet beautiful breeds of rabbits, chickens, ducks, alpaca and goats, and find out more about how to care for these popular animals from the expert keepers.

The Herefordshire Beekeepers will host a dedicated Bees & Honey marquee where you can watch live demonstrations, discover what happens inside a hive, and get expert advice on keeping bees yourself.

The Young Farmers, renowned for their lively humour, will come head-to-head for their legendary competitions, which this year involve bale-pushing and camel suit racing.

The AgriTech Zone is a fascinating place to discover more about the future of farming, cutting-edge technology, machinery and sustainability, and to discuss business opportunities and careers within the sector.

The Equine Village, featuring six show rings, will host spectacular show jumping alongside some of the country's top showing competitors across 290 classes. The new Ask The Groom area offers visitors the chance to learn how to take care of these magnificent animals, with tips from a range of experienced exhibitors alongside popular show regulars Malvern Pony Club, Hook Norton Brewery and the Dyfed-Powys Mounted Police.

The weekend celebration will also feature special and celebrity guests, a wide variety of lively family entertainment, including breath-taking displays by The Red Devils and Bolddog Lings freestyle stunt motocross teams, a vibrant gardening hub, which includes the International Orchid Show and the Plant & Flower Show, a fabulous range of countryside retailers in the shopping area and over 6,000 animals to see.

Adam Henson, farmer, rural TV presenter and Royal Three Counties Show Ambassador, said: "I am delighted to return as the Show Ambassador again this year, as this event is a highlight in my calendar - it's a really great day out and we've all really missed it over the last few years - I can't wait!"

The Royal Three Counties Show is the UK's premier agricultural celebration and attracts over 90,000 visitors.

Advance day tickets to the Royal Three Counties Show cost £21.85 and children under 16 are free.
