Pride in Gloucestershire announces line-up

Pride in Gloucestershire have announced the much-anticipated return of their annual LGBTQ+ Pride event. This year's celebration might be their biggest yet and showcases the vibrant diversity of the LGBTQ+ community, while advocating for equality and acceptance.

The main Pride event is set to take place on Saturday, September 9, at Gloucester Park. A day filled with festivities, 3 stages of live entertainment and lots of pride-oriented activities await.

Emphasising inclusivity, Pride in Gloucestershire will feature an array of community-based stalls, providing an opportunity to connect, support local causes, and learn more about LGBTQ+ initiatives in the area.

The event will include several well-loved zones, such as the Family Zone, Cabaret Stage, Trans Cafe, Youth Zone, and much more, ensuring there's something for everyone.

The highlight of the day will be the impressive line-up of performers and headliners gracing the stage. Prepare to be mesmerized by the infectious beats of Booty Luv, the soulful vocals of Angie Brown, and the incredible talents of Jaymi Hensley, MKSM, Allan Jay, and RuPaul's Drag Race UK's Copper Top, among many other artists.

Richard Stevens, chairperson of Pride in Gloucestershire said: "Pride in Gloucestershire is dedicated to creating a safe and welcoming space for all LGBTQ+ individuals and their allies."

"Our annual Pride event is a celebration of love, acceptance, and unity, where everyone can come together to be themselves and stand proudly in their identity. As with previous years, the Pride March will also be a prominent feature of the event, further solidifying the organization's commitment to raising awareness and fostering a sense of community.

"This year's Pride March will be leaving Gloucester Cathedral at 11am with participants being invited to gather at the Cathedral from 10:15am."
