Model-makers to show off their skills at museum

Modelling fans are in for a treat this month at a special event at Gloucester's Jet Age Museum.

The International Plastic Modellers' Society of Gloucester will be showing their models and model-making skills on Sunday, October 17, from 10am to 4pm.

Entry is free and visitors can see demos, get hints and ask questions.

Keith Creighton, publicity & marketing manager at the Jet Age Museum, said: "The visiting modellers of the IPMS will be mainly from members based in and around the city. They will be demonstrating their skills and techniques used in producing high class models.

"They are quite happy to chat to and show visitors how to improve their skills and offer special 'tips' for even better model making.

"A wide range of model subjects will be on display including aircraft, ships, cars, trains etc. and each year they visit JetAge they bring a different selection."

The Jet Age Museum is situated on the Meteor Business Park, Cheltenham Road East, Gloucester, GL2 9QL.
