Lakefest is back at Eastnor for another electric year

Where: Eastnor Castle, Ledbury

When: August 10-14, 2017

Lakefest is returning to Eastnor Castle this summer for another bumper weekend of music and family-friendly entertainment.

The Charlatans, Badly Drawn Boy and ASWAD are among the acts set to hit the Castle Stage at Eastnor from August 10-14, following its successful debut at the site last year. The festival's former home was Croft Farm Waterpark, near Tewkesbury, for four consecutive years.

The Charlatans are a huge scoop for Lakefest organisers who have worked hard to build the festival organically, remaining considered with their music choices.

Formed in 1988, the band has garnered endless praise for its work; all 12 studio albums have made the Top 40 in the UK Albums Chart, three of them number ones. They have also achieved 17 Top 30 singles and four Top 10 hits in the UK Singles Chart. Their most recent studio album, Modern Nature, was released in 2015.

Badly Drawn Boy, once included by Q Magazine as one of the 50 Bands to See Before You Die, is the stage name for English indie singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Damon Gough. His debut album The Hour of Bewilderbeast, won the Mercury Music Prize in 2000.

After 15 albums and two decades on the music scene, ASWAD remains one of Britain's best-loved reggae bands. Their new album is a rich mix of musical genres, from pop and reggae to urban roots.

The star-studded Lakefest line-up also includes Feeder, Imelda May, Turin Brakes, Wilko Johnson, Kíla, Alabama 3, YAK and Seth Lakeman.

Family is at the heart of Lakefest which won Best Small Festival in the Festival Kidz awards 2015, and the team is excited to announce even more free activities this year.

Returning for the second year, the awe-inspiring Pro BMX dirt jump competition will be back, alongside pottery lessons, kids' yoga, a creche, workshop activities, free passenger rides with Land Rover Experience Eastnor, a Tiny Tots Rave and DJ Workshops.

Tickets cost £110.25 for an adult weekender including camping, £37.10 for teens and £21.50 for a child aged six to 12. Under 5s go free.
