Inaugural PGA Pro-Am golf tournament at Brickhampton

The first-ever Pro-Am tournament is being held at Brickhampton Court Golf Complex, Churchdown, in June.

The 18 hole JV PGA Pro-Am tournament - which will see teams of three amateurs pair up with a PGA professional - takes place on Friday, June 2.

The day will feature bacon rolls and coffee on arrival, Halfway House and a two-course post-round meal in the 'Nineteen Restaurant' at Brickhampton.

With a Stableford format, the best two nett scores from four will count on each hold.

There will be a £1,000 professional first prize and a superb amateur prize table, paying out to the top four places.

Entry is £300 per team, including tournament round, prizes table and team food.

Tournament host and club captain Jonathan Viney said there was still time to enter a team.

He said: "It will be a great day and the winning amateur teams will win thousands of pounds of prizes, with a Maserati for a weekend for the nearest-the-pin winner.

"Don't worry if you have a team of three but no Pro, we will work with the PGA to get you a great Pro. We hope you enjoy the course and facilities as much as I and our members do."

The event is sponsored by Maserati, Swann Financial and SN Engineering.
