Discover the secrets of Bourton's bloody past

Where: Bourton-on-the-Water

When: Friday and Saturday evenings, 7pm

Discover the secrets of Bourton-on-the-Water's bloody past at a Bloody Bourton Walking Tour.

The tours take place on Friday and Saturday evenings from 7pm around the picturesque Cotswold village.

Tour guide Edward Charnel said: "The Bloody Bourton Walking Tour isn't just another ghost tour. Although ghosts are featured on the tour, it is much more.

"I have over 40 ghost stories for Bourton-on-the-Water but only talk of a few on the tour. And we have a few unusual ghosts around the village!

"As well as ghosts, the Bloody Bourton Walking Tour also covers religion, religious persecution, crime & punishment, murder, secret rooms, witchcraft, sacrifice, highwaymen, mythology, and some of the quirky tales from the village, in fact the nasty things about this Cotswold village."

Tickets are available from Bourton Visitor Information Centre on Victoria Street and the tour meets at the war memorial on the village green at 7pm, but please check before turning up. The tour last approximately two hours.
