Cheltenham Wellbeing Festival to give support for workplace wellbeing
23rd August 2019
Where: Cheltenham (various venues)
When: Monday, September 9, to Sunday, September 15
There's just over two weeks until the inaugural Cheltenham Wellbeing Festival and Punchline readers across Gloucestershire are being offered an exclusive 20% off Main Stage talks to the festival.
There is a growing recognition of the importance of individual wellbeing inside and outside the workplace, with figures continuing to be released on the impact of issues such as absenteeism, mental health issues and costing the employer billions per annum.
As research shows, positive workplace wellbeing programmes lead to significant improvements in productivity, improving staff retention, reducing absenteeism, as well as helping to build a reputation as a desirable place to work.
With that in mind, the inaugural Cheltenham Wellbeing Festival 2019 has curated a dedicated 'Workplace Wellbeing' strand, packed full of talks, workshops and events, to help support local businesses and employers' existing internal wellbeing initiatives, or to help kickstart programmes for those that don't already have a strategy in place, are home workers, freelancers or entrepreneurs across Gloucestershire.
This September businesses across Gloucestershire are invited to gather their teams and attend a variety of expert talks from a host of UK experts.
These include: 'How to Build Resilience in Business' with observations from TT Adventures, the support team to Bear Grylls, 'How to Achieve Your Best' with internationally recognised productivity coach Sara Milne Rowe, 'How to Future-Proof Your Business' with Dr Alexandra Jellicoe and The Liminality.
You can also make sense of the future business landscape in the 'Surfing the Digital Tsunami' talk, with local Futurist, entrepreneur and founder of Green Gourmet Adam Starkey.
The festival will also see a host of events and workshops that local businesses and individuals can utilise to cultivate a happy workforce.
You can come along with your team to our 'Productivity' session with professional organiser Vikki Staff and accomplishment coach Sabrina Pace-Humphreys, talks on 'How to Have a Healthy Brain' with Harley Street Neuroscientist Kimberley Wilson, a breakfast on 'How to Fuel Your Day Right' with nutritionist Rosie Letts, or even socialise at one of the festival's 'Supper Clubs' exploring the importance of gathering and the joy of food with your colleagues or clients.
Your staff can also take advantage of various FREE events which include the daily 'Morning Moves' and afternoon 'Bonsai Chi' sessions in Montpellier Gardens, as well as a FREE talk on Financial Wellbeing sponsored by Corinthian Wealth Management entitled 'Money Matters' and a pop-up 'Financial Wellbeing' clinic supported by Corinthian Wealth Management and Francis & Co.
There will also be a pop-up 'Nutrition' clinic and a dedicated 'Health MOT'. Every business, no matter what size, can get involved in this week-long celebration with the festival's 'Corporate Pledge', which offers simple ideas that can be implemented into your everyday business practices.
