Big Cats - from Myth to Reality

Where: The Latchen Room, Longhope, Gloucestershire GL17 0PA

When: Sunday, February 2, 4pm

Stories of large black cats roaming the countryside have been reported in the pages of the local press or discussed in pubs for many years now, but the residents of the Forest of Dean are still to be convinced of the existence of these creatures.

So, when the Friends of Longhope Church (FOLC) were approached by eminent local 'big cat' expert and host of the 'Big Cat Conversations' podcast Rick Minter, to hold a talk on the reality of the existence of the big cats locally, they didn't need asking twice!

Rick's illustrated talk will include, not only evidence of sightings locally, but also details of how panthers, pumas and lynx may be naturalising within our region.

The talk will take place on Sunday, February 2, at The Latchen Room, Longhope, starting at 4pm.

Tickets are £5 per head and that will include interval refreshments.

For more information or to book your tickets call Carryl on 01452 830054 or Tina on 01452 831235.

As with all FOLC events, it is advisable to book early to avoid disappointment.
