Autumn photography workshops at Batsford Arboretum

Alan Ranger Photography, a professional photography tutor based in Warwickshire, has led the autumn photography workshops at Batsford for over eight years.

In that time, Alan has taught more than 500 people how to make the most of autumn colours and details at the arboretum just outside Moreton in Marsh, Gloucestershire.

The autumn photography workshops are open to all levels of experience, and you don't need any specialist equipment as Alan will work with you on a 1-2-1 basis throughout the workshop to help you improve your visual awareness, camera operating and settings and composition of the autumn delights.

Alan has been teaching photography for over ten years and has excellent knowledge of the arboretum and which parts to be in throughout the day to maximise the best sunlight direction.

The collections at Batsford cover a wide range of plants from around the world but have an emphasis on the Far East. There are over 2,850 labelled specimens including about 1,300 different trees, shrubs and bamboo.

Alan said: "The acers, sorbus, oaks, birch and beech trees are spectacular at Batsford and it's a privilege and honour to be able to witness the daily changes with clients on my workshops there."

One of the advantages of the workshops is exclusive access to the arboretum from 8am when no one else is around. The price for the workshop includes entry into the arboretum without needing to pre-book a timed-entry ticket.

The workshops run daily from Friday, October 22, to Sunday, October 31 from 8am to 11:30am and 12:30pm to 4pm. The cost is £99 for either morning or afternoon, £150 for the whole day.

For details and to book your place on one of the daily workshops, am or pm, visit Alan's website at https://www.alanranger.com/batsford  or phone him on 07817 017994 to make your reservation or to find out more.
