Annual countryside stroll in aid of Cobalt

A sponsored countryside walk to raise funds for local medical charity Cobalt will take place on Sunday, October 10, in Nailsworth from 10am.

The popular annual walk is named after local resident Arthur McTiffin who founded the event. Fellow Nailsworth residents John Perkins and Richard Hardwick took over helping to coordinate the event following Arthur's retirement in 2011.

The walk spans seven picturesque miles and starts outside Nailsworth Fire Station.

Refreshments will be laid on at the mid-way point of the walk. The event is family and dog friendly. Free parking is available in Nailsworth Town Car Park.

Kirsty Bradbury, fundraising engagement officer, Cobalt said: "Join us for a lovely stroll from Nailsworth to Stroud, with refreshments half way. Bring your friends, family and dogs and enjoy a Sunday morning of fresh autumn air."

To register to take part, contact fundraising@cobalthealth.co.uk  or call 01242 535922.
