E147 Punchline Talks! with Cllr Richard Cook, Stuart Emmerson and Dominic Cook

Each Friday, Punchline-Gloucester.com editor Mark Owen is joined by leading Gloucestershire business figures from a range of backgrounds to review Friday's national and regional newspapers and discuss what is happening in their own business sector and their own individual businesses.

Finally, they round off by picking the stories that have caught their eye in this week's Punchline-Gloucester.com.

The Business Breakfast Briefer show is sponsored by Hazlewoods Accountants and Business Advisors.

This week's panel of experts were:

Cllr Richard Cook - Leader of Gloucester City Council (Con) - we find out about how the latest cities developments are going but mainly drill into the announcement about the Fleece Hotel. But this is an election year and the Tory's are fighting to retain control of the council - how does the national picture spill over in to the city.

Stuart Emmerson - director of business development at Hartpury University and College - we find out about the new developments going on at the Uni and latest business course launched and why and how did Martin Clunes become an honorary Chancellor - has Stuart met the man himself yet? Can he get Punchline-gloucester.com an interview? Plus we hear about the role the Great Western Gateway is playing in bringing money and jobs into the county - or is it just another Government Quango?

Dom Cook - joint MD of Tombs Developments Ltd. based in Cheltenham, the building contractors just celebrated their apprentice Amy Brown winning nation 'The Apprentice of the Year' award. Dom explains the history of the company, the type of work they do and about the general state of the market place - from increase costs of raw materials and people and how it affects the business.

Today was jam packed as always. So much to discuss including: Welsh farmers, North Place Parking development, Gloucester's Northgate Street old Sainsbury's to name a few.
