E137 Punchline Talks! with Geoff Burch, Claire Thayers, Glen Collingbourne and Sam Holliday

Each Friday, Punchline-Gloucester.com editor Mark Owen is joined by leading Gloucestershire business figures from a range of backgrounds to review Friday's national and regional newspapers and discuss what is happening in their own business sector and their own individual businesses.

Finally, they round off by picking the stories that have caught their eye in this week's Punchline-Gloucester.com.

This week's BBB show was a bit of an Autumn Statement special. We asked the panel for their views and whether they felt the chancellor had done enough to help the Tories remain in government, with a simple YES or NO?.

The Business Breakfast Briefer show is sponsored by Hazlewoods Accountants and Business Advisors.

This week's panel of experts were:

Geoff Burch - motivational speaker, TV presenter, the original business guru and author of six books: The Way of the Dog; Irresistible Persuasion; Self Made Me; Writing on the Wall; Resistance is Useless; and Go It Alone, as seen on TV series All Over the Shop.

Claire Thayers - business and CSR consultant, executive with Cheltenham Chamber of Commerce and new appointee at Gloucestershire Foundation Trust.

Glenn Collingbourne - director at Hazlewoods, specialising in tax. The company has over 400 staff split across two offices at Cheltenham and Staverton, with an approximate turnover of £32m.

Sam Holliday - business development manager for the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) and ex-editor of the Bath Chronicle - Sam gives us an update on how small companies are coping, his general view on the economy and what are the biggest issues facing SMEs.

There was so much covered, and the show is jam packed as always.
