Welcome back! Tom Jones returns to Kingsholm

Welsh singing legend Tom Jones is to make a return performance at Gloucester Rugby's Kingsholm Stadium this summer.

The club announced that Tom will perform a concert on June 25 to the delight of his many fans.

With a career that has seen him sell in excess of 100 million records, Tom Jones has won countless accolades including a BRIT Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music and a Silver Clef Award for Lifetime Achievement.

Knighted in 2006, the global icon has amassed 36 top 40 UK hits.

Tom Jones said: "I am really pleased to be returning to Kingsholm Stadium this June. I always have a great time performing at summer events in the open air, so I'm looking forward to a fantastic summers evening at the stadium."

Stephen Vaughan, Gloucester Rugby CEO, said: ""We are thrilled to be welcoming back Tom Jones to Kingsholm this summer on what is set to be a memorable weekend for the club, with Little Mix in town on the Saturday night also.

"Tom wowed the Gloucester stage in June 2012, and has remained at the top of his game since, and we're really excited to see him return this summer.

"Kingsholm has established itself now as a music venue in its own right, and our annual concerts have again attracted some of the world's biggest acts.

"We are delighted to offer an exclusive pre-sale window for our valued club & 1873 members again for this event."

Jess Glynne and Lionel Ritchie proved some of the most popular shows ever staged in the City in 2016 with over 35,000 attendees across both shows.

Tickets will be on general sale at 9am on Thursday 9th March via http://tickets.gloucesterugby.co.uk. A ticket presale will be available to Club and 1873 Club Members at 9am on Tuesday 7th March.
