Warrant after no show in £16k fraud case

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a businessman who failed to attend Cheltenham Magistrates' Court to face a £16,000 fraud charge.

Graham Fletcher, 61, of Dagmar Road, Cheltenham, is accused of committing fraud while operations director of Engineering Integration Ltd from March 2018 to February 2019.

He did appear to answer bail in relation to a charge he dishonestly abused his position to make a gain of £16,618.97.

The charge alleges he committed the fraud by failing to reimburse the company for vehicles he hired, he made unauthorised personal payments on the company NatWest card and made wage payments to himself without going through the payroll system and avoided income tax.
