Warning: Easter bank holiday weekend speed camera locations
By Bethany Winter | 18th April 2019
Out and about this Easter bank holiday weekend? Look out for speed cameras in these locations...
The sites have been revealed by the county's Road Safety Mobile Camera Enforcement Unit which is committed to reducing risks to road users caused by vehicles travelling at excessive speeds.
The mobile speed detection vans operate at over 80 sites across the county and prioritise site activity by examining speed and accident data including intelligence received from communities.
In an effort to reduce speeding in areas across the county, the priority sites are advertised each month. Visits to the other sites will continue but emphasis will be placed on the advertised locations.
Mobile Speed Detection Vans may be spotted in other locations, but their priority sites this month are focusing on A429 at these sites:
- Bourton-on-the-Water
- Cherry Tree, Cirencester
- Old Railway Siding, Cirencester
- Hollow Fosse
- Fossebridge
The Mobile Camera Enforcement Unit will endeavour to visit other mobile enforcement sites throughout the county, but motorists should expect a regular presence at these sites in April.
