Two held after police probe alleged car crimes

Gloucestershire police have arrested two people following an investigation into alleged vehicle crimes in the Longlevens and Elmbridge areas of Gloucester.

A police spokesman said: "Shortly after 5am Sunday 11 March, officers on patrol arrested a 17-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle.

"Albert Surmaj, 18, of Pembroke Street, Gloucester and a 17-year-old boy from Gloucester have been charged with two counts of theft from a motor vehicle.

"They have both been bailed to court later this month."
