Two AA Rosettes for county restaurant

A restaurant just outside Gloucester is celebrating being awarded two AA Rosettes for culinary excellence, after holding an AA Red Rosette for eight years.

Customers travel from far and wide to visit both the restaurant and the rooms at The Wharf House in Over.

There are only a very small number of restaurants within travelling distance of Gloucester to hold this prestigious award.

Despite the award, there is no formality at The Wharf House, with customers welcome to enjoy everything from a panini or deli board to the nine course tasting menu.

The Wharf House is unique in being part of The Herefordshire & Gloucestershire Canal Trust and customers like to combine meal with exploring part of the canal which the Trust is restoring at Over Wharf.
