TV architect Piers Taylor to talk at Gloucester

Piers Taylor, award-winning architect and TV presenter, will be giving a talk at Gloucester Blackfriars on Thursday, September 28, sponsored by Ibstock.
Piers is well known for co-presenting BBC Two series The World's Most Extraordinary Homes with Caroline Quentin. He has also co-presented three series of The House that £100k Built on BBC Two which demonstrates to self-builders how to do more, with less, along with Britain's Most Spectacular Backyard Builds.
Piers recently won four Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) awards for the Wolfson Tree Management Centre at Westonbirt Arboretum, Tetbury. RIBA Gloucestershire has secured this unique opportunity to hear from him.
Piers has been called 'one of the brightest architects in the profession' and has designed a number of exceptional buildings, including the Wolfson Tree Management Centre, RIBA award-winning 'Room 13' and 'Moonshine' which won the AJ Small Project Award
Founder of architectural practice Invisible Studio near Bath, Piers' built work has been published extensively and internationally, and typically pushes boundaries in terms of cost, technique and process. He is known for his resourceful 'thinking outside of the box' and his challenging of mainstream convention.
A regular contributor to the Architects' Journal, and having previously written for Blueprint, Building Design and The Architectural Review, Piers' talk is anticipated to be extremely relevant and critical of architecture today.
