Traffic alert: speed camera locations announced

The Gloucestershire Road Safety Partnership has announced where mobile speed cameras will be operating on roads throughout the county this month.

The aim of the Mobile Camera Enforcement Unit is to reduce risks to road users caused by drivers travelling at excessive speeds.

The mobile speed detection vans operate at over 80 sites across the county and prioritise site activity by examining speed and accident data including intelligence received from communities.

In an effort to reduce speeding the Road Safety Partnership announces where the mobile cameras will be sited.

Priority sites for June's mobile van enforcement will be:

• A46 Stroud Road Rodborough, Stroud.

• Secunda Way, Gloucester

• A4019 Uckington

• New Barn Lane, Prestbury

• Minchinhampton Common
