Topps Tiles sales rise as Brits improve their homes

Topps Tiles has reported a big rise in sales since stores have been allowed to reopen.

Compared with 2019, retail like-for-like sales at the chain which has stores in Gloucester, Cheltenham, Cirencester, Moreton-in-Marsh and Stroud, were up 12.9 per cent for the most recent quarter, as reported by Retail Gazette.

And sales have increased by 18.5 per cent in the 11 weeks since stores reopened on 12th April.

The retailer said customers have been working to improve their homes and it expects demand to remain high over the next few months.

Topps Tiles has repaid all the support it received in the first half of the current financial year from the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme.
