It's the start of the Great British Annual Spring Clean campaign - can you help?

Nortonwood residents in Nailsworth are invited to join Stroud District Council's neighbourhood wardens and take park in the annual Great British Spring Clean campaign.

As well as picking up stray litter on the estate, the spring clean will identify other community issues such as graffiti, potholes, fly tipped waste, abandoned vehicles and damaged road signs. These will either be dealt with at the time or reported to the relevant authority.

"Community litter picks are popular events," said Dominic Everiss, Stroud District Council's senior neighbourhood warden.

"This will be a great opportunity to get out in the fresh air and meet your neighbours."

Cllr. Steve Robinson, one of three ward councillors for Nailsworth added:

"Please come along and help make our community a better place to live."

The Nortonwood litter pick will take place on Friday 2, March, starting from the Arkell Community Centre on Nympsfield Road, Forest Green at 9.30am. There's no need to book. Equipment such as litter picks, gloves, bin bags and reflective vests will be provided. Suitable clothing should be worn.
