Support independent retailers on Small Business Saturday

Small Business Saturday, the biggest annual celebration of small traders takes place this weekend.

With the final pay day before Christmas happening this week, Saturday (December 1) is set to be a huge shopping day. And Small Business Saturday is all about encouraging shoppers to step away from the chains and the online retailers and check out some local independent shops and family businesses.

Small Business Saturday is the UK's most successful small business campaign, which last year saw an estimated £748m spent with small businesses across the UK on Small Business Saturday.

Follow @SmallBizSatUK on Twitter and Instagram and get behind the campaign, connect with small businesses and share some of your finds on social media using the hashtag #SmallBizSatUK.

Punchline said: "Here at Punchline we're getting behind Small Business Saturday and encouraging our readers to spend some of their pre-Christmas cash in small independent shops, coffee shops and markets. Not only are you supporting local businesses, but you might just pick up something completely unique for your loved ones."
