Jamie Oliver and Jimmy Doherty give up meat

Okay, we are stretching it a little when we say food-loving celebrities Jamie Oliver and Jimmy Doherty gave up meat, but the pair were in Gloucestershire making a film about vegan food.

The television personalities homed in on the county's - and possibly the world's - only vegan football club, Forest Green Rovers.

It is believed they were shooting for a forthcoming series of their Channel 4 programme Jamie & Jimmy's Friday Night Feast, usually shot at Southend Pier.

Social media posts show camera crews following the pair and their crew around New Lawn, Forest Green's Nailsworth football ground, while they took turns to take penalties.

Ethical clothing company boss Tim Shieff also posted a picture of himself with Mr Oliver in Stroud.

The celebrity chef was believed to have stayed at a Gloucester hotel while filming took place.
