Serious collision in Northleach

Officers are appealing for witnesses to a serious collision which took place in the Cotswolds on Saturday (May 28).

Police were called to the A40 London Road in Northleach shortly after 8.40am following a report of a two vehicle collision near to Bedwell Farm.

The collision involved two cars, a blue Peugeot and silver BMW.

A man, woman and child from the Peugeot were taken to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford with suspected serious injuries.

The woman remains in hospital at this time with serious injuries.

The driver of the BMW was arrested at the scene and taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital to be assessed.

The 21-year-old man from Gloucester was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst unfit and driving whilst under the influence of alcohol.

He has since been released under investigation.

Investigating officers are asking anyone with information or footage of the collision to please get in contact.
