Sales rise to £300-million-plus for hotel chain
By Sarah Wood | 25th September 2018
Budget hotel chain, Travelodge, has seen a rise in sales in the first half of the year.
Sales were up eight per cent to £317 million in the six months to 27th June, as reported by The Sun.
The average room at Travelodge, which has hotels in Cheltenham, Gloucester, Tewkesbury, Cirencester and Stonehouse, costs just £51. The company attributes it success to demand for budget rooms during uncertain economic times.
Around half of all Travelodge bookings now come from business customers.
Travelodge aims to open 20 new hotels this year.
