VIDEO: England or Wales? Who are rugby legends picking to win Six Nations clash?

Rugby legends Will Carling and Rob Jones at the Six Nations preview hosted by Aitch and Aitch Bee

The crunch Six Nations clash between Wales and England is almost too close to call according to rugby legends Will Carling and Rob Jones.

At a packed preview dinner hosted by Aitch and Aitch Bee and sponsored by Punchline-Gloucester.com at Pittville Pump Rooms in Cheltenham, the duo said they are preparing for a classic.

Both sides have recorded two wins out of two games so far ahead of Saturday's match at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff - an arena that both legends said could play a part in the result.

Carling, who captained England to three Grand Slams in a glittering career said the fearsome atmosphere in the Welsh capital could tip the favour for the hosts.

Carling, who won 72 England caps said: "I think it will be a great atmosphere in the best stadium for a rugby fan, the best stadium for a Welsh fan, but not the best if you're an English fan.

"I think it's going to be a very close game and very tough to call."

Jones, who made 54 appearances in the red of Wales added: "It will be a fantastic game and huge in terms of where we are in the season.

"Wales have struggled really to put performances together and England have looked fantastic.

"If England can perform consistently at that level then there are not that many teams in the world who are capable of beating them.

"But Cardiff is a different place and the atmosphere will be something special. Wales going in as underdogs - huge underdogs really - will be the best thing for them to get right up for it.

"As a result of that it will be very competitive and Will is right about it being a close one. But I am ever the Welsh optimist and if things go our way, we have the ability on the day to perform."

The pair took part in a question and answer session with Mark Hartery, MD of Aitch and Aitch Bee before inviting questions from the audience.

Mark Owen, editor of sponsors www.punchline-gloucester.com and MD of Moose Marketing & PR and  said: "It was a great evening in the lead-up to what I hope - as a Welshman - is a great game on Saturday.

"Both Will and Rob told wonderful stories about their rugby careers and it was clear that while they were rivals on the pitch, they were and still are great friends off it."
