Results in for by-election

A by-election took place yesterday (October 12), for Prestbury ward in Cheltenham.

People Against Bureaucracy candidate, Stanley Smith (known as Stan), won the seat with 644 votes. A total of 1,733 votes were cast, representing a turnout of 36.15%.

The count finished around midnight last night.

The seat was previously held by People Against Bureaucracy member, Cllr John Payne, who resigned from his position.
