Randall & Payne acquire Gloucester accountancy firm

Cheltenham based firm of accountants and business advisors Randall & Payne has revealed the acquisition of a Gloucester practice.

Little and Company in Gloucester is being merged into Randall & Payne and their team of 14 are being retained within the business.

The firm's office on Park Road will remain in use for six months, after which the team will come together with the 50-strong existing Randall & Payne team under one roof at Chargrove House on Shurdington Road, Cheltenham.

Randall & Payne said that the Little and Company team and its client base will benefit from the use of its technology and gain access to specialists in areas such as corporate finance for valuations, acquisitions and financing, corporate tax services including VAT, share structures and R&D Tax Relief, as well as business coaching services.

Tim Watkins, managing partner of Randall & Payne, said: "The past year has reinforced for everyone how important making the most of the opportunities presented to us is and not letting barriers to success stand in our way. This is why we are pleased to share our positive news.

"Little and Company brings a wealth of expertise and knowledge to enhance our current service provision. We are really pleased that all of the team are staying on board with us, ensuring our high level of service is maintained."

Simon Dudfield and Nicholas Gratton from Little and Company specialise in providing advice to doctors, solicitors and the agricultural sector in particular, and will continue to service their clients as Randall & Payne.

Mr Dudfield said: "We have known the Partners of Randall & Payne for a long time; they are a very well established and respected firm of accountants, business advisors and tax specialists who come from similar roots to ours. We are convinced there will be considerable benefits from joining forces to offer a broad range of specialist services to our clients and the wider business community."

Ollie Newbold, partner and head of corporate finance at Randall & Payne, added: "It was clear to us that this acquisition was a great fit as Little and Company share the same values and culture as Randall & Payne. We are all looking forward to working with Simon, Nicholas and the rest of the team."
