Property firm opens new Cirencester office after contract win

A firm of chartered surveyors is celebrating after opening a brand-new office in Cirencester and winning the contract to manage the town's Bishops Walk Shopping Arcade.

SPG Property, which has its head office in Corsham, Wiltshire, was launched in 2017 by Spencer Gower, who has 25 years of experience in the property sector.

The firm's new office, based at Cirencester Office Park, Tetbury Road, Cirencester, was officially opened in November.

Spencer Gower, managing director of SPG Property, said: "Cirencester is a fantastic town and we are extremely excited to have set up an office in the capital of the Cotswolds.

"Having been a consultant working in the town for the past two years I believe that Cirencester has shown great resilience during the pandemic and is in a strong position to grow economically when we eventually get back to some kind of normality in 2021.

"The management instruction secured with Bishops Walk means we'll be acting as both managing agents and joint lettings agents on behalf of our client Padmanor Investments Limited.

"Having been involved with the centre over the past year I am excited to carry on the great work already achieved and continue to improve the centre.

"With new lettings recently secured such as Purrfect Pets and GlamoRose Cakes we have exciting plans for 2021 which we believe will help to further improve the tenant line up at Bishops Walk."

Mr Gower has previously worked for several major UK property companies and consulted for Land Securities and Transport for London during the last four years.

Stephen Davies, from Padmanor Investments Limited, said: "We're delighted to have appointed SPG Property as the managers of Bishops Walk Shopping Arcade.

"Spencer Gower's experience and skills will help realise the full potential of this popular retail space and in turn benefit the people of Cirencester."
