Profits and turnover cooking on gas as firm reveals 250 plus per cent rise

A firm which built its name and profits on the ingenuity of one man's invention to revolutionise gas central heating has revealed an incredible rise in turnover and profits.

The Cheltenham headquartered firm saw its turnover rise 256 per cent from £11,495,000 to £40,972,000 and profits by 255 per cent from £3,550,000 to £12,603,000.

Sales in the UK were £37,633,000 and £3,339,000 in the rest of the world.

ADEY Innovation's accounts cover the year to the end of December 2018. The firm is the owner of ADEY Professional Heating Solutions, the heating and plumbing specialist.

Chris Adey, founded the business on the back of the invention he created called the MagnaClean® filter, an ingenious device that removes sludge and corrosion from central heating systems, improving performance and reducing energy and maintenance costs.

Ten years later, in the summer of 2016, the firm was subject to a management buyout led by its chief executive officer, John Vaughan, with the full backing of the company's board.

The business has gone on to continue to innovate and create a family of products to clean, flush, maintain, protect and test heating systems.
