Police appeal for witnesses after man is assaulted in Lydney

Officers from Gloucestershire Constabulary are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was assaulted while walking on Naas Lane in Lydney last weekend.

It was around 2am on Saturday June 20 when the 19-year-old, who was walking down the hill near to the community centre, was attacked from behind by what was believed to be two men.

He was pulled to the floor and kicked in the head. He was left bruised but with no long standing injuries.

The two suspected offenders are described as a white man, around 18 years of age, of average height, medium length brown hair and wearing white shoes and a black jumper at the time.

The second man is described as wearing all black clothing with no further details of his appearance.

Police are asking for anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have CCTV or dashcam footage to contact police on 101 quoting incident 48 of 20 June.
