Police appeal following 'incident' in Gloucester car park

Police in Gloucester are investigating an incident in a car park in the early hours of this morning, Friday September 7.

At about 3.30am officers were called to the car park on Chase Lane Industrial Estate, off Eastern Avenue, where it was reported that there had been a collision involving a white Mercedes car and at least one pedestrian.

The car did not stop at the scene.

A 19-year-old woman suffered slight head injuries and was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.

It is also believed that a man, described only as black, was injured having also been hit by the car during the incident, and officers are keen to identify him.

A 24-year-old woman from Gloucester has been arrested on suspicion of assault and driving whilst under the influence of drink or drugs.

She is currently in police custody awaiting questioning.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information should call Gloucestershire Constabulary on 101 quoting incident 28 of 7 September.
