Police appeal after elderly man suffers serious injuries in Kings Stanley collision

Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision near Stroud in which an elderly man suffered serious injuries.

It happened on Kings Stanley High Street at around 4.40pm on Wednesday afternoon and saw the man involved in a collision with a Land Rover Defender.

The man, who is local to the area and in his 80s, was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with head, leg and internal injuries but was later transferred to Southmead Hospital, Bristol.

The driver of the Defender, a local woman in her 40s, was not physically injured.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or has any information about the circumstances of how it happened, is asked to call Gloucestershire Constabulary on 101 quoting incident 300 of 11 December.
