Pie-Mark! Greggs and Primark in hot fashion partnership

Two retailers with premises in Gloucester's King's Walk shopping centre are coming together in an unlikely partnership with a new line in fashion.

Greggs and Primark, both in expanded stores in Gloucester, have brought out a clothing collection, branded with the food outlet, most famous for its hot bakes.

The launch is accompanied by an elaborate social media campaign with fashion mannequins at a number of Primark stores, photographed with Vegan Sausage Rolls and Steak Bakes as part of window and in-store displays.

But the bad news for Gloucester shoppers is that the newly opened Primark in the city in the old BHS store on Eastgate Street is not one of the 60 Primark stores nationwide taking part.

Shoppers wanting something from the limited-edition, 11-piece clothing collection, from Saturday 19th February, will need to maybe travel to branches in Bristol, Cardiff, Birmingham or Oxford to pick up the hot fashion items.

The exclusive range, which is the latest in a long line of iconic collaborations for Primark, will be a first for Greggs in its 83-year history as it finally puts its name officially to clothing and accessories.

Raymond Reynolds, business development director at Greggs, said: "Fans can quite literally show their love for Greggs on their sleeves."

Tim Kelly, director of new business development at Primark, said: "We're thrilled to have teamed up with Greggs to bring the Tasty Café to our Birmingham store and give fans of the brand the chance to get their hands on the limited-edition clothing range."
