Officers are at the scene of an incident which happened in the Horsefair Lane area in Newent, Forest of Dean on Sunday night (March 19).

Police were called shortly after 10pm with a report of a fire and emergency services attended. A caravan was found alight and one person was confirmed deceased.

Formal identification is yet to take place and the death is being treated as unexplained.

There is an ongoing investigation to establish what has happened and anyone with information who has not already spoken to police is asked to provide information online by completing the online form and quoting incident 414 of March 19.
