A new pawnbroker is set to open its doors in Gloucester city centre soon.

Hoardings have gone up on the unit at the top end of Eastgate Street, close to the Cross and next door but one to Holland & Barrett.

H&T Pawnbrokers describes itself as 'A pawnbroker you can trust' and has been trading for 125 years. It has over 250 stores across the UK, including Bristol and Swindon. It also offers online pawnbroking.

Punchline said: "This is a real sign of the times. There are similar stores in Northgate Street, but this is the first pawnbroker to open in what used to be considered prime retail space, right in the centre of Gloucester."
