New sponsor for No Child Left Behind awards announced

A new category sponsor for the annual No Child Left Behind (NCLB) awards has just been announced.

Incito, the franchise which owns and operates eight McDonald's restaurants in Gloucestershire, is sponsoring the #FunandFulfilment category - Helping children and young people find their strengths and passions.

Amanda Toner from Incito said: "Incito McDonald's are so honoured to sponsor this category - achieving your goals and having fun along the way is so important. Good luck!"

The annual celebration of the many organisations and projects that are supporting local children and families is being held next week (January 26) at Cheltenham Town Hall.

This event is once again being brought to Cheltenham in association with Punchline-Gloucester.com.

The event's main sponsor is Infrastar, which is also sponsoring the #OurViewsMatter category - Hearing the voices of children and young people and creating change with them.

Cllr Flo Clucas, member for communities and safety at Cheltenham Borough Council, said: "Through No Child Left Behind, we are able to offer improved life chances and hope to our most disadvantaged children.

"It is what inspires organisations and businesses to help our Cheltenham communities. It is a great privilege to work with them and for our children and young people.

"There is so much to celebrate, including all those who have given their time, money and resources to make a difference. Cheltenham should be proud of every one of them and I look forward to the awards, which would not be possible if it weren't for our fantastic sponsors.

"I am really pleased to welcome Infrastar as our headline sponsor, their support is really valued."

Mark Owen, editor of Punchline-Gloucester, said: "I'm really proud to be able to be involved in this year's awards and to be able to help as much as we can in supporting these fantastic organisations who are making such a difference to children and families."

The other sponsors are:

• Gloucestershire College: #GoingGreen - Working to improve the environment now and for the future

• Randall & Payne: #FutureLeaders - Giving children and young people the opportunities to become leaders

• Renishaw: #InclusionWorks - Unlocking the potential of all our children and young people

• Punchline-Gloucester.com: #DigitalInnovation - Enabling children and young people to thrive in a digital world

• Creed Foodservice: #GoodMentalHealth - Helping children and young people or families to improve their mental health

• Hartpury University and Hartpury College: #InspiringLearning - Supporting children and young people to develop a love of learning

• Brickhampton Court: #PhysicallyActive - Encouraging children and young people and families across the town to get moving

Sponsors are still needed for the #StrongFamilies - Building happy and resilient families and #BusinessForChange - Celebrating local businesses that support children and young people categories.
