New Partner for Hazlewoods

Hazlewoods, the Gloucestershire based accountants and business advisers, have announced the appointment of Pete Woodall as associate partner to the firm. The new appointment takes the partner numbers to 26.

Pete has been a tax adviser based in the South-West for over twenty-five years; having graduated from Bristol University with a Computer Systems Engineering degree, before becoming a tax accountant.

Pete completed his accountancy training with Arthur Andersen before moving to Grant Thornton, amongst other firms, where he discovered the joys of advising entrepreneurs and private companies.

Based in Cheltenham and working at the firm's Staverton office, his 'claim to fame' is that he was part owner of a horse called Dream Alliance, who won the Welsh Grand National, and whose inspirational story was turned into a feature film.

On joining Hazlewoods, Pete commented: "I am delighted to be part of the Hazlewoods team and am excited to work with a firm that has its people and clients at the heart of its business. It is important for me to ensure my clients' affairs are managed tax efficiently without letting 'the tax tail wag the commercial dog!'"

Hazlewoods managing partner, Jon Cartwright said, "We are really pleased that Pete has joined our Tax team. We have known him for a long time so he has fitted in straightaway, a welcome added bonus."
